Sam "Lightning" Storm

Sam "Lightning" Storm is a driver mentioned in the movie Speed Racer, and a full character in the PS2 and DS versions of the tie-in videogame.

Background[]

Sam drives for Atomic Injectables, which is a team of drivers who took part in the Casa Cristo race in the movie, driving street cars whose main feature is an exposed turbine. One of the cars is seen being wiped out in the second leg by Snake Oiler's snake-a-pult. She, however, doesn't appear in the movie, only being listed in the racer list from the Grand Prix.

Trivia[]

Sam is the only character from the Nintendo DS version of the videogame to not appear in the Wii version. Other than the DS, she's only available in the PS2 version.
