The Mammoth Car or the Mammoth Mobile is a large and long racing car that appeared in Speed Racer (1967) in The Race Against the Mammoth Car (Part 1) and The Race Against the Mammoth Car (Part 2) . The Mammoth Car was originally designed by Cruncher Block and his gang of criminals and was built by the melted gold they stolen from the national bank . The Mammoth Car is designed like a very long like a long truck and a very long road train made from stolen gold bars which is so post to be smuggled out of the country by Cruncher Block but failed.
The Mammoth car’s front end almost looks like a cat face with a large engine grill and big head lights on its front . When travelling fast the Mammoth car’s long body slows down the car but when it reaches downhill and uphill it goes faster and faster. The weakness of the Mammoth car is the fact that it can be hit by a train and crashes in to a mountain. The Mammoth car’s tires are also weak because the tires can be slashed by chain saws and as well as melting from hot flames when it crashes into an oil tanker. It is also possible that the gold was returned to the back after the Mammoth Car was melted down into gold. The Mammoth Car is based on a Gas Turbine Tractor trailer truck from 1964 .
